Plus is a Must: Designer Rachel Roy is debuting her new brand RACHEL Rachel Roy Curvy at Macy's.com and select Macy's stores this week! The 45 piece collection covers sizes 14-24 and ranges from $55-$179 and is signature Roy with sophisticated prints and bold colors in silhouettes that drape nicely over the body. It's cool that the collection is an exact duplicate (with slight altercations) of the straight size line and that she used plus sized model Candice Huffine to make sure the fit was right. This year will be a big one for Roy whose book "Design Your Life" will be published in March, and in September she will relaunch the Rachel Roy designer collection- the older sister to her contemporary Rachel Rachel Roy collection that she was forced to discontinue in 2014. Out with The Old: Burberry keeps changing the game- literally this time by doing away with the traditional fashion calendar. Starting this September instead of showing the standard four collections per year (Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter for both men and women) the British brand will now combine the two and will show twice- seasonless collections called "February" and "September" in an attempt to globally reach out to non-Western markets. The collections will also become available in stores and online immediately after showing and the digital and print campaigns will launch right after the shows end. You can read more about the move here.... In With the New: It was recently announced that Tom Ford and Parisian brand Vetements have also chosen not to follow the traditional fashion calendar and have implemented there own runway/retail model for the following seasons. Ford will stage his Fall/Winter 2016 men's and womenswear collection in September- closer to the actual time of needing to purchase fall/winter clothing- and starting in 2017, Vetements, the up and coming French label will show men's and women's collections in January and June in between the couture shows. She Don't Play, She Slay: After her cold ass Superbowl 50 performance of "Formation" last night, Beyonce has released merchandise all with the lyrics to her new song on Beyonce.com. She has an "I Twirl On Them Haters" sweatshirt , two tees, a hat, a tote bag that reads "I Got Hot Sauce in My Bag" and an I-phone case available ranging from $25-$60. All the items are available on Beyonce.com.
