Rappers may not take you seriously- but there is hope for you IG models after all lol! Fashion label Marc by Marc Jacobs recently released photos and a video from their spring 2015 campaign with a diverse cast of eleven Instagram models from around the world.
The campaign, shot by David Sims and styled by Katie Grand, features winners handpicked from over 100,000 entries that wannabe models uploaded to Twitter and Instagram with the hashtag #castmemarc.
Not new to using social media, the Marc Jacobs brand also casted last fall's campaign this way and has let customers pay for merchandise through tweets before. IMG, Edward Enningful of 'W' mag and DKNY have all casted successful viral campaigns using social media, a trend in which I'm sure other fashion brands and labels will follow up with.
