Are you super sad that you can't afford designer Christian Louboutin's shoes or the high end lipstick? Don't worry, the luxury brand has you covered- literally! On Friday, Louboutin launched a new app, 'Louboutinize' that allows users to use a filter over their photos.
Available only to IPhone users at the moment, the app has three filters with plans to add to the list monthly. The filters right now include: "Rouge" which paints an uploaded photo the designer's signature color red, "Crystallize" places a broken glass mirror like effect filter similar to a bottle of nail lacquer the brand launched last year, and "Legs" which attaches the bottom half of user photos to Dita von Teese legs, and six other uh- interesting limbs. The brand will compile the most creative submissions of the month to share and has plans to launch a version for men in September. I mean, if it's to raise more brand awareness or exposure then I guess I can see why this is a thing, but honestly unless they add more appealing features (not to mention a version for Android) then I'll probably stick to the photo filter apps I already use. Writer Rosey Cherrington of the Huffington Post UK tried the app and was not impressed lol. Read about her experience with it here...
