Even thought I don’t wear them all the time, I love to wear false lashes! I usually wear a few coats of mascara for everyday use and wear the strip lashes for special occasions, but this year as apart of my Leveling Up on a Budget journey, (more on that later) I decided to put more effort into my everyday look and revamp my style. I've been almost exclusively working from home this winter and it has been so easy to fall into the whole raggedy tee and leggings with a bare face look, so in order to snap out of it I decided to make a better effort to do some personal grooming and leveling up! But on a budget of course lol.
Kiss I Envy Magnetic Liner and Lash (wispy 01)
I tried magnetic lashes a few years ago after seeing them at my local beauty supply store and I still remember the excitement I felt at checkout. I raced home and after several very frustrating sweaty hand, shaky eye attempts, that excitement quickly faded and I gave up trying to apply them. I watched several videos clearly based on fairy tales and fables on how the top lash was supposed to stick to the bottom lash but the results were not the same for me so I went back to the strips.
However, last month while flipping through a hair magazine I saw an ad for Kiss I Envy magnetic liner and lashes and was immediately intrigued! The magnetic liner could be a game changer, I thought as I powered on my laptop. For the next hour or so I watched several tutorial videos and shared their joy when the ladies were able to easily line their eyes and snap the lashes on effortlessly. I made it my mission to set out and find them the very next day.
Since they are fairly new a few beauty supply stores I went to didn’t even have them, but I called around and found a store that did and I discovered that they sell a starter kit that contains the liner and a pair of wispy lashes, or you could buy the liner and the lashes separately which is awesome because the liner can be used with other brands of magnetic lashes.
Quick Tips for Lash Application:
The lashes are easy to apply, reusable and durable as hell. I got caught in a snow, wind and rain storm (yes all in one day because #thisiscle) and my lashes stayed with me the whole time. I do suggest making sure that you line it kind of thick so the lashes (especially those pesky corners) have something to stick to. The lashes are safe for contact wearers (hi!) are easy to remove and the liner and magnets are safe and harmless. You can read more about that here.
I’m definitely a fan and went back to buy more styles of lashes that I can’t wait to wear! This is perfect for beginners, people who don’t know how to apply strip or individuals, are allergic to the lash glue or are afraid to use glue. Basically they are for everybody! Will you try them?
