FASHION GOES POP
Designers are having a love affair with an eclectic mix of music royalty for their Spring 2014, ad campaigns. Givenchy designer Riccardo Tisci announced neo soul singer Erykah Badu as the muse for his entire Spring 2014, African meets Japanese mashup collection, as well as the star of the campaigns. Olivier Rousteing, designer of hip French label Balmain has tapped on stylish superstar Rihanna to rep the company in upcoming magazine ads, Marc Jacobs announced tongue wagging pop star Miley Cyrus as the girl of choice for his namesake label, and who can deny the resemblance of hyper blonde Lady Gaga to designer Donatella Versace in Versace's Spring/Summer 2014 campaign? A few images are below but all the ads should all be out in time for the February and March spring/summer fashion issues.
