Not too many people were feeling the usually uber stylish Pharrell Williams' Grammy outfit- including his oversize mountain hat. Pretty much everyone went in online and clowned him, but it seems as though fashion loving Pharrell might be the one laughing at us. That hat was a reference from British designer Vivienne Westwood's fall 1982/83 Nostalgia of Mud and the Buffalo collection and has deep musical roots. If you know anything about what Malcolm McLaren and Westwood did for the Sex Pistols, then maybe you can "appreciate" Pharrell's sartorial choice, or maybe not... The Cut has more info about the hat here.
