Congratulations to British model Jourdan Dunn for becoming the first "solo black model" on the cover of British Vogue in almost twelve years! Celebrities Beyonce and Rihanna appeared on the European cover in 2013 and 2011, but the last black model to appear on the cover alone was by Naomi Campbell, back in 2012. Dunn posed along with Rosie Huntington Whitely and Eden Clark in 2008.
Discovered when she was 15, Dunn quickly rose to the top of the industry walking and starring in campaigns for Calvin Klein, Balmain, DKNY, Topshop and YSL Beauty. Just last month she topped Forbes World's Highest-Paid Models of 2014 and revealed the images from the Mario Testino shot Burberry Spring/Summer 2015 ad campaign, co-starring Naomi Campbell. The February issue of Vogue will be on the newstands this Friday.
