When the Ebola virus outbreak hit closer to home, the disease instantly became a trending topic at everyone's dinner table and while many people are deathly afraid of the disease, others are cashing in on fear and fashion.
Rapper Cam'ron announced the sell of a stylish Killa Cam Ebola mask emblazed with a #tbt pic from his "Pink Panther" days and Ebola related apparel has soared on sites like Zazzle.com, and Etsy with people printing up t-shirts and other merchandise practically overnight. There are hazard suits (which I'm pretty sure will be a "trendy" Halloween costume this year), large amounts of distasteful t-shirts, handbags, ties and even jewelry, not to mention mugs, bumper stickers, prayer candles and other items being sold quickly on these websites. What do you think about this sudden "trend"?
