September 5th, is officially the start of New York Fashion Week, followed by London, Milan and finally Paris, rounding off what is now known as Fashion Month. Individual cities also celebrate local designers by hosting independent fashion weeks, but unfortunately Cleveland does not have one. However, if you have been following my blog, then you already know I'm not one to cry over spilled milk and I love to take matters into my own hands- so I decided to host my own Fashion Month (read here and here for previous attempts) creating and attending my own events while adding a fashion and style challenge in the mix. Getting dressed for work during the scorching hot dog days of summer can be stressful, no matter your profession. The heat doesn't care if you work from home, in an office or an art gallery- trying to look good in 100 degree weather without melting is an extreme sport for all involved! Spending precious minutes standing semi nude while staring off into the black hole that is your closet is not how you should start any morning, and we won't even get into the commute! Driving, walking or taking public transportation to work with no AC should be a crime- and it actually is as evidenced by the unsightly sweat stains plastered on the back and under arms of your favorite top. Finally you arrive to work and get some reprieve from the heat which feels great until two hours later you are now freezing to death and sneezing all over your co-workers while rubbing your arms and trying to stop your nose from dripping! It's vacation season and who wants to spend precious time worrying about what to pack? I can't tell you how many times I've over packed a suitcase with almost no room for extra shopping (almost cause where there is a will, there is a way lol), but nothing is worse than bringing a suitcase full of random mismatch items, forgetting your favorite sandals, or accidentally packing a bathing suit that fit you two seasons ago. To keep any of those unfortunate scenarios from happening, I came up with a quick list of clothing items to bring on vacation. 
I'm in Cleveland, Ohio, and the weather here is so weird- one day it's hot AF and I'm sweating from underneath my wig and the very next day (or even later that night) I'm cold as hell, layering hoodies and lightweight jackets and protecting my knees from overexposure to the wind. Not to mention the rain!
It comes and goes like a mood swing when I'm on my cycle and makes it harder to get dressed when it's time to look cute but remain dry, so I went ahead and created a roundup of weather appropriate rain gear that can get you through this part of the season with style...
