Bring It Back Or Nah: Melissa Jellies

"Walk softly and don't sweat"...

Remember these jelly sneakers by Melissa lol? These shoes were EVERYTHING back in the late 90s and early 2000s!! Act like you didn't have a pair or three in every color- and when local fast fashion stores like Rainbow started selling them, they literally flooded the streets of Cleveland. But you had to be careful cause they were plastic after all and one too fast/false move in the summertime and you would slip in your own sweat that pooled around your toes.  And in true jelly form, when you removed them at the end of the day your feet would be filthy- not to mention slight pain in the area of your big toe from having it rubbed up against moist plastic all day lol.
 
The brand has since moved on to more sophisticated ventures, collaborating with designers like Vivienne Westwood and Jason Wu and have a website with high fashion plasticized shoes that you have to see to believe. But we had them first!
