This year was no different except this time the event was even bigger and better serving close to over 200 people in the Collinwood area! There were school supply giveaways, bike and helmet giveaways, free health screenings, workshops, stilt walkers, jugglers, even Councilman Zack Reed showed up! There was food, snacks, activities and all kind of information distributed at the People's Church of Christ on 152nd street where the event was held. I knew I wanted to do something a little different this year and decided on another Fly on the Dime Thrift Style Challenge.
I made use of a microphone inside the tent I was in and MC'ed the show by introducing myself and explaining what the challenge was about to what seemed like an uninterested audience of older ladies and young kids with hot dogs lol. But once the models came out individually and I called out the prices of their outfits- the crowd went IN!
Do you have an event coming up and want to enhance it with a mini style show or fashion workshop? Email me and we can discuss it!
